I'm interested in getting BTN to go so I can stream on my phone. But I see this on the BTN site:

"Cable and satellite companies who have agreed to carry BTN2Go will offer it, but you must have BTN as part of your cable or satellite subscription to get it."

Really? I can't subscribe to just get it on my phone? I have to pay my cable company for an entire sports tier?

You should feel fortunate. My cable company no longer offers BTN in any of it's packages. Yes, it irks me and in the process of evaluating my options.

Yes, there is no stand-alone BTN streaming service. Yuu can get BTN2go without having BTN, but that won't include any events that are actually broadcast on BTN

You either have to have cable or get BTN via one of the various streaming services (DirecTV NOW, Hulu, etc) that offer it.
