Saw this was in the top threads but I normally skip so for others who do the same:

I would assume Michigan State and Indiana matches will be on BTN+. Hopefully Northwestern and Wisconsin are as well but I am not sure how that works with Indiana and Michigan serving as hosts that day. Maybe they pipe in Byers' radio remotely (I can hope). Lists both days of the Big Ten Tournament but normally they only broadcast the finals so hopefully there is more this year.

Also, I didn't order BTN+ yet but does anybody know if the extra matches are available on the BTN+?

i know that BTN+ is now affiliated with Trackwrestling, not with Flo. I was able to watch those matches on with my Flo subscription previously, now will need to pay for BTN+ for 2 months.

You can get BTN + for around $15 a month and you can watch any BIG team sport where the host team is televising the meets or games. You can also choose to only purchase PSU sports on BTN + for around $11 a month. I usually go with all teams for $15 and cancel after BIG 10'S.

The only thing that I see changing on the schedule listed is PSU'S # 3 ranking!

I haven’t seen any extra matches there yet—maybe if it isn’t a televised dual?
11am ET today Michigan vs Maryland is on BTN+.Can do the monthly $14.95 for 2 months and get Big 10 tournament.Every dual not on TV will be on Big 10 + is my understanding

Does anyone know where to find past matches televised on BTN? I would like to watch Nebraska vs Minn and Michigan vs Rutgers that were televised on Friday but can’t seem to find a way to stream them on my phone. I have a cable subscription which should give me access to stream these, I just can’t figure out where they are.

btn2go used to make this very easy, but now that’s been split into two apps: BTN+ and Foxsports. BTN+ seems to only do non-televised events. The foxsports app seems to only show live B1G events and doesn’t give an option for past events (could be the horrid UI and search functionality that I can’t get past here).

Any thoughts?

I have to renew my subscription, but it appears that if you use the schedule option on the BTN+ app, and scroll back to Friday, you can click on those matches. They appear for me, but just say I need to purchase a subscription first.

I was referring to the extra matches that are happening
outside the duals.

will watch it for free on the wrestling room thread as I read it. Canceled btn until football.

Verified, just renewed.

You arent gonna see any extra matches, hell we usually miss the first one or 2 of the actual dual if a more popular sports game runs long.
The point of my post is that maybe the duals that are not televised may include all of the wrestling. Probably not. But more likely than the televised ones, wouldn’t you agree?

That will happen I imagine. I have seen a few duals this year that have had more then 10 extra matches.Clarion had 2 mats going with 2 streams which was nice.Mizzu has put the extra on Rokfin. With the Big 10 owning the rights I doubt we see any extra matches this year.

It is interesting, as the extra matches aren’t officially part of the dual are they? They don’t count towards the dual score. I wonder if BTN has the rights.

Just renewed my BTNPlus( used to be btn+ ?) I figure the 15 bucks for 2 months is worth it just to be able to watch every PSU match and root for them and to get every Rutgers match and root against them!

If we don't see a Big 10 team put them on another platform then we know the answer.I would expect Maryland to show the extra matches today on BTN + only reason I say that is looks like its being done by Maryland themselves

Yeah they are wiping the mats for extra matches but cant hear who is wrestling.

Years ago Big 10 had University communication departments doing the broadcasts looks like they may be using that format again this year for BTN+

18 of the 63 duals on BTN (around 30%) seems to be pretty good. Here is how many times you can see each team. If you missed Illinois today and aren't subscribing to + you missed your chance until the Big 10 Tournament.

6: Iowa
5: Penn State, Michigan
4. Ohio State
2: Nebraska, Rutgers, Minnesota, Purdue, Indiana, Maryland
1: Northwestern, Illinois, Michigan State, Wisconsin.

I remember the announcers discussing extra matches during the Rutgers dual (may have been the NEB). They said the matches count towards individual rankings but not team score. I'm assuming they are like a JV meet.

The extra matches are official matches on a person's record. They do not count for the team score. They are basically a way to get non-starters matches in a dual only season and also guarantee that any starter has 4+ matches to meet the minimum heading into the postseason.

Let's say wrestler X is the #1 guy in his weight and tests positive and only has three matches at the time of his positive and has to be held out through the conference tournament. That would basically end his season through no fault of his own. So I haven't seen it as much right now but if starters are missing matches you may seem them to start to wrestle in the varsity dual and extra matches to meet the minimum if needed. Big 10 was the first conference I heard mention this concept but it seems to be common practice if you check school results.
