Didn't see a thread for those interested in this event on Flo tonight.

First match was Kyven Gadson vs Kollin Moore, 97 kg . Gadson was looking good and was up 2-0 in the first minute or so when he suddenly went down with what appears like a pulled groin muscle. He was clearly, and vocally, in pain. Couldn't continue. Bummer for him.

I don't know if anybody else is having this problem but the stream is not working on my amazon firestick but does work if I try to watch on a computer. Hopefully just me.

Miracle won.... Don't know why Flo has to have 'dead air' in between matches... Hard to look at these guys the same way since the lawsuite BS

Match 3: Sammy Sasso vs Tyler Berger, 160 lbs.

Period 1 -- Sasso more aggressive early but Berger with 1st TD. Up 2-0. Berger with more shots and 2nd TD. Up 4-0.

Period 2 – Sasso with urgency. Gets TD. 4-2. Berger with nice low double TD into lace but can’t convert for more. 6-2. Berger defends deep shot then gets in on a leg. Potentially dangerous stop. Berger snap drag for TD. 8-2

Final: Berger wins 8-2

Being Burroughs' training partner appears to be paying off for Berger.

Tyler Berger looked good against Sasso, going in I'd have picked Sasso, but Berger completely neutralized him.

Match 4: Alli Ragan vs Lauren Louive, 59 kg

Alli Ragan with a quick first period TF. Looked sharp.

These bouts just give me a greater appreciation for what Penn State has/is building. These are great matchups and Penn State provides bouts that are just as good with an NLWC member in each bout.

Flowrestling just announced an RTC Cup for December 4-5. $200,000 in prizes. Sounded like a dual tournament?

Spartan Combat, Cliff Keen, Ohio, NJRTC and many more. NLWC not mentioned. I would think they would definitely list them if they had a commitment from them right now.

Flo just announced they're hosting an "RTC Cup" in early December, which is an interesting concept, but much less compelling if Cael doesn't show up with the NLWC.
Yeah, the claim in the teaser ad that this will answer the question of which is the best RTC in the country is chuckle-inducing without NLWC there.

Mike Mal does a good job in the post-match interviews because he watches the match and asks smart questions about the match instead of asking questions intended to tie a bow around a pre-determined narrative.
agreed, He is their 'wrestling' guy as far as technical specs go...

A NLWC B-team could beat most of the field:

57kg Josh Rodriguez or Jordan Conaway
65kg Franklin Gomez
74kg [Either Bekzod, Nolf, or Cenzo]
86kg Bo Nickal
97kg Riley Lefever
125kg Nick Nevills

A-team would be Gilman, Zain, [Bekzod or Nolf], Taylor, Snyder, Cassar

Will the Goofer RTC go if it's not a national duals format?

Match 6: Anthony Echemendia vs Evan Henderson, 67 kg

Lots of hype around Echemendia. Gotta love his story of making it from Cuba to the US!

Period 1 – Henderson with the TD out of bounds for 2. Echemendia with slick go behind, great defense by Henderson. Both go tumbling out of bounds and Henderson gets 1 for the pushout. Henderson with some very impressive defense. Henderson up 3-0.

Period 2 – Echemendia struggling to get his offense going. Then a sweet low shot. Crazy scramble with weird scoring. Echemendia throws brick. 2 points given to him, 1 to Henderson. Now Henderson throws brick. Loses the challenge. Now Henderson up 4-3 after losing the challenge with 1:30 to go. Henderson with big 4 point move out of bounds!

Final: Henderson wins 8-3

I'd say PD3. Lots of smack talk, doesn't show up for go-time, and needs significant legal intervention to compete.
I thought about that ... but in fairness, PD3 did actually make the national team once. Albeit with David Taylor injured, but Lewis is more than 1 injury away from that.

Also guessing that Flo's streaming hasn't done revenge porn. At least not yet.

Flo with another big announcement, they signed a four-year deal with the UWW, leaving Track on the outside, I guess.

Zahid up 4-0 on two legit takedowns a duck and a single, JB having difficulty with Zahid's length.

JB with a nice second period, getting 3 TDs and two step outs. 8-5. Zahid kind of gassed and couldn't match the old man's stamina. Real nice match by Burroughs.

Match 7: Jordan Burroughs vs Zahid Valencia, 185 lbs

Period 1 – As expected, ZV is noticeably bigger than JB. Both with low shots early, well defended. ZV with quick TD to go up 2. A quick 2nd TD to go up 4-0. Heavy hands by both. JB’s re-shots barely move ZV back. ZV up 4-0 at the break.

Period 2 – JB with TD/pushout to score 2. The stream freezes and ZV with 1 point when it resumes (a pushout?). ZV up 5-2. JB with go behind TD. 5-4 ZV with 1:20 to go. JB with 1 pt pushout. 5-5. ZV starting to look a bit tired. JB with nice TD out of bounds to go up 7-5. JB with quick pushout. Up 8-5 with 30 secs left. ZV definitely looks tired. Appears JB’s claim to have the best sprint is true. And it ends.

Final: JB wins 8-5

JB is going to have a hard time dealing with a guy who is just as long if not longer than ZV, 10lbs+ heavier than ZV, and in much better shape than ZV.
