They don't. I've used alternate vehicles. ParkMobile is generic and widely used. The license plate number is used for numbered spots in cities

If you don't mind a mildly technical procedure, I've discovered a way to recover your avatar from the BWI site:
- Start by going to your profile page by clicking on a linked version of your username on the site--could be in a post you made, near the top-right of most pages in the white area, or in your account settings menu to the right of where you avatar should be.
- Right-click (or Command Click for Mac) where your avatar should be featured large near the top-left of your profile page (to the left of the header area of the page), and then, depending on your browser choose "Copy Image Link" or "Copy Image Address" or something similar.
- Open up a new browser tab/window and paste the url in and press enter.
It will look something like:
And you will see some sort of access denied error. - Simply replace .../forums/pennstate/data... with .../forums/bwi/data... and press enter.
- Your avatar should appear in your browser--from here, you can again Right-Click and save to re-upload.

I understand what they wanted to accomplish with this, but the actual implementation has been horrendous. No forwarding for the bwi... precursor, broken links to various aspects of the board, no real notification when it would be done, etc. They've been planning this for a long time, so whoever handled it is blatantly incompetent.

There is a way to center your photo. I believe if you hover over the photo while in the process of placing the avatar you can hold down your left touchpad button and move the symbol via your mouse to adjust the photo's placement. I learned that trick after about a year of having my avatar of C.S. Lewis off-center : )
Most of you will pleased to know that I had my avatar saved..

I saw that — and he locked the thread to responses. You are taking it more light-heartedly than I would. Passing someone else’s work off as your own is bush league, no matter how inconsequential.
