Cael Sanderson Highlights 2002

It is sometimes easy to forget how dominant Cael was in his NCAA tournaments. His movement was so fluid that he made it look easy.

Speaking of Stieber, for those who are more well-informed, was the no-call on Oliver's "takedown" the right call by the rules of the time?

To illustrate the dominance, 1the guy Cael beat by 12-4 major in the finals, Jon Trenge, had done this to the rest of his opponents

1st round: Trenge WBF 1:47 over Fresno State's Marcio Botelho
2nd round: Trenge WBF 3:15 over OK State's Willie Gruenwald
Quarters: Trenge WBF 1:20 over Nebraska's Justin Ruiz
Semis: Trenge 16-6 major over Minnesota's Owen Elzen (the 3rd seed)

1. He makes it look easy, as if it were something I could do.
2. He makes it look unfair, like he should be wrestling up in a different division. As if you could fault Cael for wrestling down a level.
3. I love it how he breaks them by the end. The last takedown is an ankle pick, and the competitor (an AA) just crumbles with no resistance.

Both 1 and 2 are not unlike other PSUers in the last 10 years, but to hear others tell it, Cael will always be in a class of his own.

Hawk fan here, HUUGE Taylor fan. My favorite wrestler. Pretty cool that Taylor has upstaged him at the senior level and is not done yet.
Can't wait for final X and World's!
