Looks like USC starting quarterback Jaxson Dart just entered the transfer portal. Based on that, Caleb Williams is most likely going to USC.

Once the coaches started getting greedy and hopping ffrom job to job - contract be damned - for megabucks, there was no valid reason for the players not to have the same freedoms.

Players should be careful what they wish for. Now they have free reign to move around and they are getting paid. Unintended consequences are coming, or are already here. Tax implications are surely going to doom some of these players if they aren't careful. There are more players in the portal than there are available scholarships. How long until programs cut an existing scholarship player in order to make room for someone they think is better that's in the portal? IMO now that players essentially have the ability to jump ship whenever they want places that guarantee scholarships for 4 years may soon have a change of heart. Yes coaches could move, but they also were under contracts so that movement came with rules and repercussions. Players don't have those restrictions... yet.
