The "Ignore" feature is the greatest invention since "sliced sex". 
No need to ban him. Unless you're interested in being repeatedly annoyed by a poster whose every post can be summed up with the phrase "Please, please pay attention to me", just hit "ignore" and move on.
Ignore is really the key as to any poster you don't like. I have 2 on ignore right now and it makes my time here much easier. I welcome opposing views on any subject, but sometimes the redundancy of a particular poster makes them intolerable. This thread is about the only poster I have on "ignore". There are other posters who I mostly disagree with but they, at least, usually post about rational subjects.
I have him on ignore, but he strikes me as a guy who lives his life completely on the fringes of the real world. I suspect he is viewed as a very odd individual by those who come into contact with him every day.
Just put him on ignore. He's just too high-maintenance for me; he's more interested in scoring internet debating points than maintaining a consistent back-and forth; he consistently defines your personal POV by himself, it's as if he's never traded posts with you before. He's like the Drew Barrymore character in 50 First Dates.
Well my post looks like I might have been directing that at someone in this thread and I agree with everything. My post was directed towards whatever the next reincarnation of the crazy guy is. Just ban his IP.
