Whenever I see something interesting in the guide and I don't have time to watch it I record it for later. Over time a fair amount of "stuff" builds up that I simply don't have time to watch on a regular basis. Good thing current tv schedules are in their rerun cycle right now, so I've been catching up. I watched a couple of Black Sabbath music specials that were excellent, and currently have that scifi classic, Saturn 3, up on the projector.

It's a somewhat dystopian view of solar colonization in the future set against the backdrop of a food shortage on earth. It stars Farrah Fawcett, Kirk Douglas, and Harvey Keitel sloppily voiced over in a eurovillian manner. The plot is highly disjointed with large gaps in story exposition, and questionable motives for the characters. Kirk's banging Farrah, Harvey wants a piece, Harvey has a psychotic robot (or is it the other way around), and some late 70's scifi effects. It's not quite bad enough to become good, but it does have a naked Farrah Fawcett in her prime, earning this movie a recommend rating.

Up next, a choice of Rutger Hauer classics - Omega Doom or Blind Fury. Anybody else do the same?

I saw Saturn 3 in a movie theater when it was originally released. At the time, Farrah was considered a bit of an All-American gal with a goodie two shoes image (despite having the perkiest nipples to ever appear on TV). There was an audible gasp from the audience when she first appeared on screen nude in that shower scene. No one expected it.

You might find this an interesting read too. There's plenty of back story to the movie.

Not DVR related, but my kids have Disney+ and let me use it. Just out of curiosity, I started watching The Mandolarian (without knowing anything about "Baby Yoda"). It started growing on me and I became a fan of a show that at one time or another had a cast that included Nick Nolte, Taika Waititi, Carl Weathers and Ming-Na Wen, I also started watching a series on Disney Imagenering that traced the history of Disnry Imagenering from the creation of Disneyland up to the present day. Also having a full catalog of Star Wars, Marvel and Disney movies and cartoons makes it something worth looking into, especially if you have young kids.
