Cool graphic. Bye week, then beat Minnesota. 1-0 mentality.

The Cornhuskers bandwagon sure was full. They need to bring back their Soviet era 'roid program.

Where's the great DOCTOR Tom Osborne when you need him, eh? ;)

PSU getting to the CFP means they need to win out, or get a heck of a lot of help if the one loss is to OSU. Gonna be a very tough road and even Indiana is no gimme. If PSU beats OSU, having Rutgres as an end-of-season tune-up for the CCG is invaluable.

I read too many troll posts to be able to pick up on that.
Right. How could anyone pick up on that?

There is no point in discussing playoff with PSU until the OSU game, which is all that matters. After that, all that will matter is the b1g championship game, if we win vs. OSU. It's not complicated. OSU in our conference/division make it a simple conversation, yet difficult to achieve.

There is 0% chance the b1g gets two teams in, so if you're reading any articles around that then stop reading and don't read anything else from that source.

When the first CFP rankings come out, I will be very interested to see where Clemson is ranked. If they are top 4 above Penn State, we will know for sure the whole thing is a farce.

We control our own destiny. Lost to Ohio State by one point the last two years after holding double digit 4th quarter leads both games. Will have to finish the job this year. Be interested to see how a Georgia born QB handles a possible terrible late November weather game.

Clifford was throwing the ball around like it was sunny and 70 yesterday. Neither of the Mich/ND quarterbacks threw the ball much in the same weather.

I think we have to worry about Michigan jumping us this week... Just look at the eye test... The slobber fest is sickening and will only get worse as we get closer to the game..
You haven’t had a morning coffee. Michigan is eliminated. If they jump us, it’s because we stop the sport of varsity football mid-season and forfeit our remaining games.

Unfortunately, I think he will be just fine. Otherwise, why would we have recruited him if that was an issue.

Huh? He's a great QB, that doesn't mean he's used to playing in freezing cold weather. One has nothing to do with the other.

Hahahaha I clicked for Clemson to lose next and a popup says "unlikely to happen".

It's Wofford, they are as good as any team Clemson plays in the ACC aren't they?! Lol

In fairness to Klatt this is what he said after someone pointed out that PSU wasn't in his preseason top 25 today-

"would you rather I hold on to my pre-season opinion and allow confirmation bias to shape my every thought about the sport? OR Would you rather I watch games and evaluate teams for what they do on the field and then adjust accordingly? Hmmmm"

He gave a long answer at the time explaining why he didn't think Penn State would be good which completely misread the sanctions era, historic Penn State, and current blue chip ratio and the amount of talent on our team. He doesn't get a pass.

He also said after Saquon's junior year that he didn't think he could be an every down NFL back.

While Joel Klatt, Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe all acknowledged Barkley’s talent, the trio agreed that Barkley is not a workhorse back. For comparison’s sake, Klatt said Barkley is not Ezekiel Elliott, Todd Gurley or Leonard Fournette.

“I don’t think he’s your workhorse,” the college football commentator and analyst said. “Let’s just put it like this. He’s probably more Christian McCaffrey than he is Leonard Fournette.”

Here’s the full clip:

Then why did we recruit him? That was my point. It doesn’t get cold here??

Maybe you should think a little more too

besides - where did Brett Favre grow up? He did pretty good on the frozen tundra. Tom Brady is a California boy, he has done pretty good in cold weather. Aaron Rodgers anyone??

this theory that southern born players cannot play in cold weather is ridiculous.

Try...

PSU, Oklahoma, Oregon to win out along with one of the top 4 and you get the same response, which IMO isn't that far fetched. Decent chance bogth OU's win out and PSU can knock off OSU then have one of the SEC teams win out along with Clemson.

Has Fields ever played in a game with temps below freezing? If no, we don't know how well he will handle it. Not complicated.

If Penn State and Ohio State finish 24 - 1 combined and LSU and Alabama finish 24 - 1 combined then the playoff should include Penn State - Ohio State - LSU - Alabama. Clemson hasn't proven anything with their cupcake schedule. The BCS committee should send a message that a team needs to play a credible schedule to be considered for the playoff.

PSU have four weeks to get better win two games (MINN,IU) then see if they can beat the Buckeyes. Just like any other year since PSU joined the BIG10 can they beat the Buckeyes.

I do question how Michigan has a 9% chance of making the playoff if we both win out. That means a two loss non division winner 2nd team makes it from the big 10

It is ridiculous. But some posters like to hold onto antiquated and mind numbingly stupid view points.

Back on topic,
Why can’t PSU, Oklahoma, and LSU all win out? The model sees that as an impossibility. Looks like a flaw.

Since joining the Big Ten we have beaten Ohio State eight times, if my count if correct. That means we beat them roughly once every three tries and we are due this year

I can’t like this enough! Let’s go Wake and let’s go SC

It was sarcasm. 'Eyetest' should have been the hint
Yes..thought it was obvious...did anyone hear Joey Galloway on CF Final say what he is looking forward to in November. He said I am looking forward to the game...are you freaking kidding me.. Not that we should be surprised.
