Franklin just said in an interview this past week that PSU has the nations longest streak of preventing the opponent from scoring a TD on their opening drive. Welp, he has a history of bringing up these stats right before blowing it lol.

What a meaningless stat. We often see an offense March down the field and score, and then the opposing defense settles in and makes life very hard for the offense the rest of the way.
I have no details on this stat, but if I was a reporter in the room, i'd have asked what PSUs record was during that streak, and what PSUs record was against Top15 teams during the streak.
