Hard to imagine a more talented, dedicated and accomplished group of fine young men than Penn State's 2014 class of Bo, Jason, Nick Nevills, Shak and Cassar. To say they've been a joy to watch is simply a massive understatement.

Found some articles about their recruiting class:

Really interesting that Cassar was almost an afterthought with this group, lumped in the other category. :)

And have to give kudos to Flo and Intermat for giving them the #1 ranking :)

Flo: “The Lions ... at some point could have half their starters from this class alone.”

Nolf, Nickal, Shak, Cassar. They’re not half the starters, but they can be half the NCAA points this season. Did their class score half of PSU’s NCAA points last season?

"Penn State owes at least 3 of their 4 National Championships to the bonus points of Taylor and Ruth. Replicating that is highly unlikely, but all three of these guys are high-pace, point-scoring monsters who will get their share of bonus."

Mr. Holmes maybe missed the mark there, maybe.

Wow. Five very top end contributors. Has to be one the top classes ever. Championships, AA status, tournament points? Has to be in top five. Can’t think of one better...

I'm thinking it will be hard to replicate what this group has done. But I certainly agreed with the comment at the time that it would be hard to replicate Taylor and Ruth accomplishments.

Keeping historical records is a thing with me, and if asked at the end of 2014 when DT and ER left whether we would see anything similar, not just records, but bonus point-wise, I'd have said highly unlikely. Since then, Zain, Jason, and Bo have proven to be in the same stratosphere. Who's next??

Aaron Brooks, Michael Beard, and the 3 Lee's?

RBY will stand atop the podium before he leaves and he will launch a point barrage. Maturing muscle and an evolving tool box will be on display next year.

I also think Berge, Verk and Manville will have lots to say before it’s over. Manville experience this year will prove to be a winning experience. Verk is growing and coachable right in front of us.

The future remains very bright

One thing we know about this staff - they will coach people up. Even the top recruits show significant improvement while at Penn State.
