And people want to complain about Michigan only dropping one spot last week.

Wisconsin I could go either way. But how does Utah remain ahead of us? And Baylor?

No way a three loss Wisconsin should at #11 and PSU at #12. Yeah, they beat Minnesota and we didn't but the transitive property is a useless ranking tool. They lost to a 6-6 team but I guess one good half against OSU made all the difference even if they were hammered in the other three halves of play.

yikes...After playing and losing to KY last year, this year we will play Memphis. A bowl our team doesn't want to be at against a team, minus their HC, that is highly motivated.

Someone still ranked Bama number 1, tells you some coaches are fools as well.

Baylor I kinda get. Only two losses were extremely close to OU and yesterday they were playing with their 3rd string QB. But Utah is absurd and frankly so is Oregon. They haven’t beat anyone other than Utah, lost to ASU and needed a last second FG vs. Wazzu.

Don’t really understand what Florida’s done to be so high either.

This what a piss poor game plan against Minnesota gets you.

It wasn't a piss poor game. It was a 5 point loss to a then undefeated team on the road.

A game PSU could have won in the end, especially if the refs were doing their job.

I don't get the hate regarding a loss that isn't a BAD loss like Illinois or Purdue. Just don't get it.

This entire scenario is a joke and totally media driven. No basis in reality for any of this at all. It’s an opinion poll no more no less. I am behind Oklahoma to win it all now. Hope OSU gets smoked by Clemson again.

I think the Rutgers performance did not help. for several weeks we have heard that we actually lost to UM. only Dave Revsine on BTN has commented on the stretch of schedule and that Wisky did NOT play a full strength OSU team with Fields hurt. he even said that made it easier for Wisky to game plan their defense. you already saw the real Wisky vs OSU in the first game against a 100% tOSU team. 31 pt loss = that is the real deal.

And while we're at it...

Penn State was not at full strength with Clifford on the shelf, Cain and to some extent Hamler still hobbling.

I thinks it’s interesting how pissy people get when a 3 loss Wisconsin is ahead of a 2 loss Penn State when they have better and more dominant wins than us. Yes, their loss to Illinois is bad.

These same folks have no problem with a 2 loss Penn State being ranked ahead of a 1 loss Memphis, Boise St, and App St which we should because we have much better wins even though we have one more loss.

As this is the coaches poll, maybe the professionals see something different than us keyboard warriors. Or it’s just a massive conspiracy against Penn State.

So then you're saying the loss to a 6-6 team doesn't really matter.

did this loss to South Carolina impact Georgia before last night?

on purely their resume alone, they shouldn’t have even been a top 10 team before last night.

clearly the coaches and committee saw a much different team than the one I was watching.

Does Georgia have three losses???

The playoff teams are also determined by opinions. It’s absurd, even if it seems to have worked out correctly this season.

So there are "good" losses and "bad" losses. Seems to me you have watched one too many showings of the Wizard of OZ.
