Highlights from this evening's show:
McCutcheon is "gonna be back pretty darn soon." Not likely to wrestle this weekend, but may be ready the next week. Cael mentioned that McCutcheon had sustained a bone bruise that was painful. No further specific detail that I recall.
Nevills is "getting stronger every day. He's training and planning on being back." Still doesn't have all his strength back. Should know if he can get back to 100% within the next couple weeks..
Rasheed has "a great attitude; does a great job in practice." Working with Coach Cunningham on his weight management. Thought Rodriguez was "flat for about three seconds," but the ref was out of position to make the call. Silver lining is that the rest of the match showed what he needs to work on. "Not a slam dunk at that weight class."
Cael thought Jan Johnson's best match was Saturday. "Made a lot of progress."
Said there are "a few options" at 184 for this week, but wouldn't spill any beans: "Not going to be told today." Said Michigan is tough at every weight class.
Nolf was also interviewed and was asked if Zain was the toughest he'd faced on top. Jason also mentioned Molinaro and said he hadn't faced anyone better on top than them."
Best I can do with limited time here. Gotta run.
