I wasn't even going to tune into this game after last night but after watching our dreams go kaputski in a game we should have won, I find myself hanging on to hatred of Ohio State as some bittersweet comfort.

It's hard to imagine Texas beating the Bucks tonight but who knows.

I'm planning to mute the sound and watch it without listening to Herbie's chatter.

I'm pulling for Ohio State so SEC will be out. I don't have cable so I will either listen to local radio OSU broadcast or just follow ESPN game tracker.

I don't care who wins. I just want to see Notre Dame boat raced on Jan. 20. My money's on Ohio State.

Howard is sharp as a tack so far...and his receivers are mostly catching the ball.

They're in a whole different league than we are...or really anyone else is.

And to think that just a few weeks ago a bunch of idiots were claiming Ryan Day was on the hot seat.

Yeah can't see them losing in this playoff.

I was hoping to see Allar throw some passes like this last night!

They were only quoting OSU fans who were calling for Day's head after losing to Michigan again.

Howard is just throwing the ball down the middle in between four guys in a zone barely over the front defenders hands and his receivers are all making exceptional hands sketches.
Teams play our receivers man-to-man because none of them can get open, what a huge advantage having three potential first round wide receivers

Agreed. Nobody is going to beat them. Nobody is even close to them at this point.

If there is any consolation for last night it is that other teams are going to get thrashed instead of Penn State on national TV.

On the other hand, if ND gets crushed what does that say about us when we can't beat ND?

Domination on both O and D for the Bucks. Stand by for a scoring drive here to make the score either 10-0 or 14-0.

I'd love to see the SEC lose. But I'd love even more to see Ohio State lose. It would appear that the former is much more likely than the latter.

It says Ohio State is a whole cut above anyone left in the field.

I do think our chances would have been better than Notre Dame's. But either team would be a double-digit underdog.

Bingo! Right there with ya. Plus, with Michigan and OSU winning it back-to-back, it makes the B1G look really strong

He was...if they don't make at least the final four he was gone

Not even remotely true.

The dude was 66-10 even after the Michigan loss. Had they gotten blown out by Tennessee -- MAYBE. But that Tennessee win guaranteed employment for at least another year. And now he's one game away from being considered one of the truly elite coaches in the sport.

Funny how momentum shifts so quickly

They didn't thrash PSU last time they played.

Didn't think OSU was ever gonna lose to Texas. Surprised it was as close as it was!

Precisely. My buddy who I shared season tickets with for more than 40 years texted and asked who I was rooting for. Replied that as much as I normally don’t like OSU, I was rooting for them since I thought they had the best chance to wax ND. I don’t know if any of you saw it but some ND fan was shown wearing a Jesus vs JoePa T shirt in the stands before the game which was one of the most classless things I have ever seen.

I have a bad feeling ND could shock OSU.

From the same people that brought you Catholics vs. Convicts. Their smugness and their belief in their "goodness" is as bad as it gets.

There's gonna be a lot of hype about ND's resilience and toughness and the luck of the Irish. they could win the whole thing. But I have a feeling that Ohio State is gonna knock the smugness right out of them.

Lando, you make these categorical statements that have no relationship to reality. Ryan Day's job was never in jeopardy. As I said at the time, if they had come out and absolutely quit on the field against Tennessee, maybe there would be a conversation.

But as I also said at the time, right here on the board, that was not going to happen. Rather, the opposite was going to happen. The Michigan loss would be a motivator. This should be your New Year's resolution: listen to Jerry and take notes.

So I went to bed at halftime when it was clear that Ohio State would win the game as expected. The only question was by how much. In the end two touchdowns...easily covering the 6-point spread. I didn't bet the game but wish I had listened to my brother. He said Ohio State at 6 was the lock of the year.

I see the Bucks open as a 9.5-point favorite over Notre Dame. That's actually a couple points south of what I expected.

Apparently I'm the only guy on the board who will be rooting for the Irish. It's like this: neither Notre Dame nor Notre Dame's refs nor Notre Dame's media commentators nor Notre Dame's conference -- right, they don't have a conference -- has ever screwed us over. The same can't be said for Ohio State and company.

So I'll be rooting for the Irish to pull one out of their hats against Ohio State. It would rank as one of the great upsets in college football history. And it's not going to happen.

The only good news is that one of those teams will lose. Don't care for either program.

Again, they needed to make a run. College football is way more cutthroat than your acknowledging at the top and losing to Michigan how they have means way more than you think. They bought Day the team he wanted. They had to win at least 2 games.
Why would I listen to you when you're wrong? I also said losing to Michigan should be a motivator which is why I said Oregon got screwed and I didn't want to be the 1 seed.

Lando, I'm never wrong.

OK, maybe once...I think it was in 1988...
