Leaving PSU had nothing to do with academics
"My GPA was solid at Penn State. I started off college academically better than I started off high school because of all the support and they are on top of you week in and week out," Bolds said. "So the workload wasn't hard at all at Penn State just for the fact that we had so much help. The academic support was there, definitely."
Respect for Penn State
"I had been released to basically any school I asked for so there wasn't any bad blood when I left there or anything. Coach (James) Franklin told me whenever I needed, to give him a call. Don't be hesitant. And if any school wants to call and talk about my situation, don't hesitate to have them call. He released me to Rutgers and everything because he understood what I was going through. And I respect him for that. But I had already singed JUCO at that point."

So he was depressed being so far away from home, but WVU and Cal are still in the mix, not to mention he transferred to a school in Arizona. Whaaaat?
