Could you imagine Rashard Casey in JoeMoorhead's offense?

I would loved to have had the privilege to see that. There was this fascist in Jersey that had a hard on for Rashard. Probably a Rutgres fag.

I honestly don't think it would have made a ton of difference. Rashard's decision making wasn't very good, and he developed a lot of bad habits, including sailing throws and not using his blockers when he took off and ran. Rashard had some really good physical tools, but he just wasn't a natural quarterback. I think people got carried away based off his recruiting ranking and thought that he was in the same class as a Michael Vick and he just did not have that kind of ability. Ronald Curry at UNC was much more physically gifted than Rashad, and he couldn't cut it at quarterback either. Not every dual-threat quarterback is going to make a great fit for JoeMo's system.

Well said, good points. I disagree though.

JoeMo's last 3 or 4 QBs have all been stars (and Stevens looks like one, too). Rashard would've been unstoppable in this offense, but Fields was born for this setup.

Even in Jay and Galen's "HD Spread" Casey would have been imposing. While not as powerful a runner as MRob, Casey was more elusive.

Casey's incident in New Jersey also illustrated JoePa's character in a nutshell....people are innocent until proven guilty, don't jump to conclusions and let the process play out. A lot of coaches would have thrown Casey under the bus in a New York second. I've always admired Joe for sticking to his guns when it came to that incident.

Joe took a lot of heat from the media in that. And he stood his ground and when was proven correct some of them simply couldn't handle it and held it against Joe.

And then got their revenge in November 2011.

Decision - making is hard to qualify, but that is the main thing that McSorely does well and does quickly.

Both Casey and zack mills would have been awesome. Mcsorely and Stevens need to keep improving as I'm sure they will as Moorhead gives even more plays from his book this year to the offense

LOL.... 'fluid writing' can often be quantified for what it is.... diarrhea! The films state fare more clearly what Rashard could do and he could drop a floater or a bomb on a dime. Make no mistake about it PSU's offense was not yet suited to develop and enhance his gifts. We lined up the QB deep and that was about it. He was left to use his incredible athleticism on his own then after everything you could imagine to survive the collapsing pocket he knew where his receivers were and delivered the passes there. Joe knew what talent Rashard posed at the time, but he and the staff knew a lot more by the time Micheal Robinson was QB.... still nothing they did for Rashard compares to what JoeMos does for McSorley. Besides, I wonder how settled you can get with a Nazi stalking you for nearly all your college career. There is, unfortunately no mechanism for us to test our divergent theories. Too bad, it would be very interesting to test.

About mid-season last year I started wondering what Zack Mills would have done (healthy) w/ this offense. I think he may have won the Heisman, that's how good I think he would have been.

And was early proof that even if proven wrong, the media will not go back and make it right.
