Dake vs Nolf and Cenzo 2/23..wow!

I have to admit that I REALLY hated Dake when he was in college, but he has become one of my favorite non PSU wrestlers now. Things like this only make me like him more. With that said, I hope he goes 0-2 😂.

Well, Joseph just got hammered by McFadden, a guy that Dake eviscerated and Nolf pretty much controlled. Loyalty is probably the most overrated "virtue" there is. Many value it way too highly and tribally; and it frequently conflicts with truth and honesty.

I hope both VJ and Nolf beat Dake, but let's be realistic as well. Dake is using these matches as training and preparation for the trials, and that's all well and good for everyone.

Yes, McFadden beat Cenzo, at Mcfadden's natural competition weight of 79kg when Cenzo is a natural 74kg AND Cenzo coming back after a surgery and long layoff. Not making excuses but I would not take much stock in that result.

I am as big a Jason Nolf fan as the next guy and there are only a handful of guys with a better college resume than Jason and a handful of better NCAA wrestlers than Jason. In this case Dake is one of them. And Dake has shown he is an absolute world beater as well in freestyle. I don't expect Jason to win this. I'd love to see that he has elevated himself and is competitive against Dake. I would never underestimate Jason. The guy is one of the most talented wrestlers I have ever seen.

I agree and Dake has a good edge with freestyle experience. Regardless, will be fun to watch.

There has been a lot of debate over the years of 157lb Dake in college vs 157lb Jason in college and who would win the folkstyle match at that point. This is kind of like a fantasy matchup to get to see these guys go at it.

And as great as Dake was in college, he is probably even better in FS. Jason’s time will come, but he’s gonna take some lumps first.

Cenzo had surgery? I was unaware of that

Nice use of "eviscerate", one of my favorite words. :D

Tag team match would be sweet. I seem to remember Jason had a deadly RKO vs Zain at a camp a few years back.

Are we sure that somewhere in the small print it doesn't say 'at the same time'?
I believe it’s a tag team match. If Nolf or Cenzo can get to the edge of the mat and tag the other they can switch things up. That way they should both stay fresh.
