I am kinda surprised--but maybe that's silly--that so many posters have suggested unsavory or just unpleasant motives for Franklin firing Donovan. Scapegoating the guy has certainly been one accusation. Is there something in the Penn State internet water supply that drives people to believe the worst of the head coach? Frankly, it sounds like there were issues, both on the field and off, which made Franklin's decision to make a change at the OC position an entirely logical and appropriate one.
I'll say no more, but I hope that Franklin makes a great selection for the next offensive coordinator, and that we're all delighted with the results next season.
