Dawkins is coming back

I would appreciate a story regarding our NIL collective if you have any insider info. I understand from a direct quote from HPU that 80-90% of our NIL fund is used for retention, which is certainly what we are seeing this week. But to me it seems like the pot of gold must be a lot larger to retain this group. This is an attempt to win a natty. Are we significantly improving to become financially competitive with Oregon, UM, and OSU?

i was thinking the other day about bad snaps. I can't recall a bad snap, shotgun snap, all year.

I recall one during I think the SMU game where Allar seemed to get it prematurely and bobbled but then just ran the ball and got some positive yard (maybe even a first down)

But your point certainly stands

Good memory! I was thinking more along the lines of inaccurate snaps. Every team seems to have a few but I don't recall PSU having any this season.

Well, barring something crazy, the Defense should be a monster. The biggest question is who is going to catch passes. The only functional receiver is gone to the NFL. If the WR situation isn't dramatically improved, none of this will matter.

He had a high snap on the ND goal line that slowed the handoff allowing a LB to grab Allen's foot. The bad throw to Singleton followed and we settled for 3 instead of 7.

For those asking about various player's eligibility for 2025.
Here is Dawkins' situation

2020 - COVID (doesn't count toward eligibility)
2021 - Played
2022 - RS
2023 - Played
2024 - Played

Dawkins has his 4th year of eligibility remaining

2nd down against ND when we had to settle for the FG in the first half. Messed up the timing of the handoff.
We were rushing and should have taken our time.

Allen went from 5 to 1 on first down…that mistake lost 2 yards and then the missed pass in flat to #10.

Go to end if quarter and lunch it in from 1.

Costly mistake. But don’t blame Dawkins.

Being able to pay these kids big bucks has created an opportunity g or them to insure a hood finan c ial start to life and an opportunity to enjoy Penn State for another year. If you are not a day one pick, the h ew rules allow a kid to get a good financial c I a l base by 4 they test the NFL.

So the OL will basically be intact. Awesome
Agree.— Believe this was a major component to enticing/motivating Singleton and Allen to return. OL will be at a talent level, and depth level not seen around here for 30 years. — Could be approaching the level of Michigan’s OL of 2 years ago. — Excellent foundational component for a championship run. —Need a couple more solid LB’s and WR’s, and they’re “good to go”
