Love ya, but you are NOT pros. If you need to be paid, or don't want to exploited EA sports.. realize.. I watch Penn State and would probably not watch you play otherwise. If you are inconvenienced with going to school, or are feeling used.. I have no problem if you quit.
You see, if every college football player quit, within 1 month every major college football team could instantly fill a roster with kids who wanna be out there. They may not be as good as the guys who are presently there, but the games would still be filled with drama, passion, and unexpected turns of events. There would still be touchdown passes, long runs, and big hits.
If you ran 115 @WTNuke s out there, within in 2 years good athletes would fall in line and we would be right back where we were. Great player vs great player is a fun to watch, but avg player vs avg player would still be intriguing.
Maybe you could take your talents to the NFL after you quit playing college.. which is fine by me, as I stopped watching 5 years ago. The average NFL fan would give monster truck rally inbreeder a run for his money in the idiot department.
Who really likes the NFL?? TV Networks, the owners of teams, and the guys who play for money. Ironically we are supposed now feel sorry for NFL players with head injuries.. as they had no clue that running into 270 lb dude at full speed was bad for you.. or maybe the free booze, chicks, and degrees clouded their judgement. At least they are fighting teams who have mascots as lions as opposed to real ones at the old coliseum in Rome.
I'm getting to the end of my rope hearing athletes whine on sports radio. Engineers, waiters, doctors, teachers.. these folks are critical, football is simply entertainment.. with lower margins than the Kardashians if you want to look at the business model.
