Did nobody here see this Matmen entry at 174?

I think the talk was that it was Edmond Ruth. Doubt it's Ed and it was just a mistake, but only a guess. One reason for skepticism is that I doubt he'd want to cut to 174.

Intermat article shows that it's Ed's younger brother Edmond that is registered.

"Maybe the biggest wild card at this weight is seventh-seeded Edmond Ruth. Ruth picked up some solid wins at 184 lbs, competing unattached, while winning the Clarion Open on the opening week of the season. If he manages the weight well, he could be a factor here."

Rokfin has Myles Amine over Mark Hall. I would beg (and perhaps bet) to differ. I think Hall gets in done. We shall see

Man if we actually got Ed to join up at 184 to join Mark & Myles that would be crazy. Even with little-to-no training, I wouldn't pick against Ed in folk if he has the tank.

Ed Ruth • Unattached (Illinois Assistant Coach)
Did you see the Illinois Assistant Coach thing? That would be Ed, not Edmund. And 174 is probably Ed's weight now--he slimmed down quite a bit for MMA. I want to believe this is true.

I want to believe too! But his last MMA fight was at 185 with night before weighins, and that was over a year ago. He ain't making 174 with hour before weighins two days in a row...

I didn't see he went up for that fight--the several preceding that one were at 170lbs.
