Temple did NOTHING on OFF until Nyem went out. Wooten is so not ready for this, and was a big part of several defensive failures that all helped to energize Temple.

hopefully Wartman and Bell are okay. we do not have the depth to handle this type of loss.

Temple had a good effort, but I don't think this is a team that will threaten to win their conference. their offense is pretty ordinary, but we could not handle things after we lost Wartman. later in the game it was just about emotion.

I think the PSU guys did look down on the Temple players as lower tier guys.

There was a big drop off with Wartman out of the game. Several people remarked about how thin PSU is at LB. Indeed.

And PSU got smoked....it's ok just give Temple a little credit....they deserve it...
Temple deserves credit. No doubt. That doesn't invalidate the observation and the fact that Wartman is a much better MLB than Wooten. But hey - injuries are part of the game and that takes nothing away from Temple's victory. It also wasn't the deciding factor in the game. The PSU O was abysmal and the Temple D, as expected, very good with an aggressive game plan that they executed.

quite simply the game did not turn until Wartman left the field. if he was not hurt, it would have been another 3 and out - instead a 90 yd drive happened.

he did not play OFF - but Temple would have been very hard pressed to ever score with him in there. he is also DEF captain besides being dominant in the middle. the first score by Temple changed the emotion of the game.

Temple won the game - that is what the scoreboard said. nobody is disputing that.
