Ya gotta feel for Bama and Saban .....

Saban earns my first annual "Crybaby Coach" of the year award.

well, I can see that the early period is problematic in two ways a) lacking visibility into areas of need based on kids coming out early but not having declared yet and b) he's preparing for the playoff run which is distracting. Like tOSU, it will be more difficult to flip players right before LOI day.

I also feel for Tom Brady, LeBron James and Kate Upton.

Pretty sure Ohio State isn't in the NC hunt.

If you are Alabama and Nick Saban, you have won 4 of the last 8 NCs, and have 4-5 star recruits basically throwing themselves at you, I doubt getting kids to fax a letter in as you are preparing for another NC run is that difficult.

The only thing different with the early signing period is if you offer a kid, and he wants to sign in December then you are forced to honor it or put him on hold. How many kids have the Bama and Bucks let be committed until the elites wanted in and suddenly, "sorry, we are out of room."? Or how many kids got last minute offers only because 2 or 3 said no, and then it trickles down?

These coaches are making millions of dollars per year. I think they will be fine.
