You can actually win without the great recruits. There was an SL article about how if Rutgers can get lucky, our recruiting can be great like Houston. Most of our fans agreed but they didn't know the facts. 2012-2015, Houston only had 1 4 stars recruit in four years. In 2014, their entire class were 2 stars recruits. They beat Penn State 2 years ago and went 11-2 this year with a lot of 2 stars. Houston this year is recruiting great because of this season.

Good luck with that Houston thing working in the B1G east. Your 2016 recruiting class is looking worse than Flood's last two. May be in the 60's ranking or even worse. That many in a row is reaching for what PSU sanctions were predicted to accomplish. Hoping for a Franklin firing or PSU failing is typical Rutgers drag 'em down philosophy. Chris Ash hasn't changed that culture yet, I see. He has a monumental task at hand.

Yeah, Rutgers is not salvageable at this point. It's bad enough that we can eat their lunch, but with Harbaugh also in deep there, they will get nothing that is any good at this point moving forward. I can't believe any coach with options would want that job.

You have a new QB and DL, You had a NFL QB and the new one won't be better. Our defense was ranked 100's and Ash should be able to improve easily. You might be slightly favored this year.

Moving forward, Rutgers is going to struggle mightily. One game next year doesn't mean anything. It's year after year after year of the best kids in the state going to us or Michigan or wherever. There is no light at the end of the tunnel for Rutgers.

1. Do you have any evidence of JH viciously negatively recruiting Franklin?

2. Family members in the payroll? He hired Gwendolyn bush because of her connections and influence in Florida. She was very involved and it was a smart hire. Her son was a grad transfer from Stanford who played sparingly.

3. Hiring high school coaches was incredibly smart. Partridge has really opened up recruiting in jersey and now he has an opportunity to coach under harbaugh. He also hired a coach from st Edwards, Ohio and one from Florida will likely replace partridge's vacated role.

4. Why partridge now? Well, because we lost two coaches this off season. Partridge coached LBs during bowl practices. In fact, durkin tried to hire him at Maryland. Either way he would have been in harbaugh's staff and wouldn't be coaching Gary. This has nothing to do with Gary.
