In light of the really good DTs we've had in recent years, Ive had some concerns about the lack of a big name, or just "big", DTs in our upper classes, and in fact, in any class.

SR: We have three senior DTs, two are solid players (Cothran and Cothren), and one is a JC playing in his final year (Chavis.)
JR: zilch.
SO: four players. Windsor and a light Givens ( 281) plus two walk-ons I believe: Monk and Ikye.
rshrFR: Shelton(305) and Ellison(290) are it.
true FR: Hansard ( 302) Bolds (280)

So in 2017 we have decent quality and size, with depth coming from a couple of sophs, and perhaps from some of the four freshmen.

Development of the sophs into leaders, and of the four freshmen into strong players will be critical this coming season if we are to go into 2018 with DTs capable of holding their own against the top teams on our schedule.

DT as of right now is a giant unknown in 2018. But a good part of the face of those DTs will undoubtedly be Shelton-Ellison-Hansard.

One of the many positions I will be watching this coming season is how well those freshmen DTs develop,
