weird call. had everybody on the left side, including the WR, blocking down. It could work if D is expecting a pass, and the DBs are not close to the LOS. That wasn't the case on the call, so the play had almost no chance of being successful.

dumb play call on 4th & 1, which the Birds did not convert

hindsight is 20-20, but Perkins was too covered for that. Besides, put Wentz under center on 4th & 1, and force more defenders to worry about the sneak.

he (Darby) was taken to the locker room. His return is doubtful, due to a hip flexor.

Darby has not been very good this year, but he's faster than Rasul Douglas, who replaced him.

Birds had a nice drive going, but Jason Peters with a dumb, and costly, penalty turned a 1st down into 1st & 20. Wentz and Goedert were on different pages on 3rd & 6, which forced the Birds to attempt the FG.

The 3rd down call was bad. At least get some positive yards to make the FG easier. The block in the back by Peters was marginal at best.
