Sunday Night Football, against the Rams. The Birds are huge underdogs. With all the injuries they've suffered in the secondary, I'd be surprised if they can stay with the Rams. But that's why you play the game. It will be interesting to see how Foles does as the starting QB.

Go Birds!

Ughhhhh need a better 3 rd down play

I'll give the Birds a pass on that play. Foles had gotten nailed in the shoulder/collarbone/throat on the previous play, and appeared to be in some discomfort after the hit. I expected a run, and the Birds don't do all that well this year when the opponent is expecting a run.

.....and a better 4th down play.

I agree with you on that. If you're going to go for it at that location, then you should have a better play than that in the arsenal.

Birds with a nice drive, and take the lead with a TD run by Adams. With the PAT, it's 13-10, with just over 1 min left in the half.

I actually meant 4th down but confused and typed third. I’ll blame it on the wine

Rams kick a FG at the end of the 1st half, to tie it 13-13. Nice coverage by the secondary at the end of the Rams' drive.

2 plays, 59 yards, and the Birds score 1st in the 2nd half. After the PAT, it's 20-13, Birds. The big play was a bomb that either Jeffreys or Aglohar could have caught, as both had beaten the secondary and were in the same general area, but Jeffreys with the catch.

You have to love how the Eagles rallied behind Foles. I’m eager to see how the Birds play down the stretch if / when they win this game.

Elliott kicks a 40-yard FG for the Birds, to put them up 23-13 with 3:11 left in the 3rd quarter.

You certainly could say that I'm surprised by the current score. The Rams were coming off a loss, and the Birds secondary hasn't shown the ability to stop anything. Like I said in the OP, that's why you play the game.

Wow, Goff tries to throw the ball away as he's getting sacked, and it gets picked off by Corey Graham, who rumbles to the Rams' 12.

TD run by Smallwood, for another 2-play drive. After the PAT, it's 30-13, Birds, with 1:34 left in the 3rd quarter.

Stadium sounds like it's an Eagles home game. Interestingly, I knew quite a few people that went to last year's Birds game in LA, but I didn't know of anyone that was going to today's game.

NFC East just tightened, but it appears based on last two regular season games, that Dallas has the advantage.

Next week...Billo’s Texans @ Eagles. I like the Eagles in that one.

NGATA signed in the spring, used to live in Md by me but he loves the mountains, didnt expect him to come back to the east coast

Goff has regressed over last few weeks. He is throwing hospital balls and is going to get a WR killed. He has missed a bunch of easy ones tonight.

Yep, he missed 2 TD throws on that drive. The miss to #81 and that’s a TD to Gurley if the throw is accurate.

The Eagles are just like PSU hockey ... no late lead is safe. After that Carolina game I'm not comfortable unless up 3 scores and less than 4 minutes.

Elliott to attempt a 53-yard FG, with 1:13 left. And the kick is No Good. Ugh. Gives the Rams a short field, with 1:08 left.
