i was in the grocery store and I saw a guy wearing Eagles clothes. I told him it would be great for the Eagles to get Barkley. He responded " No way, I don't want any Penn State players on the Eagles. I responded " Barkley is one of best backs in the country". He responded that I don't know anything about football. This guy must live in a cave.

You should have responded that the Eagles obviously don't know anything about football either because Barkley would probably want to play for a team that has won a Super bowl!
He's right. There's no way the Eagles pick before #16 unless they give the store away and they won't. They need offensive line help--LT most likely. And you played right into the Philly fan mentality, if they can't have something, they act like they never wanted it in the first place. Then they bust your rocks about it.
Unfortunately, Saquon will most likely be going to a very poor team. Hopefully one with at least an assemblance of an offensive line though that won't stop whatever team it is. They will likely point to our O-Line the last couple of years and take him because he creates on his own.

I'm sure there are Steelers fans who don't want Penn State players either. You must have been talking to a Temple guy who refuses to admit a given PSU player may be talented. It's the same with the Pitters.

The Birds have had some bad luck with PSU players so I understand, but NFL guys saying someone doesn't know football is hilarious. Most football fans where NFL is king have absolutely no clue about the college talent pool aside from what that soused or hungover rabble sees on highlights

Well I'm a Steelers fan A&L so easy, but yeah, know what you mean. Nowhere near as big a Steelers fan as a PSU fan. I was a big fan when I was a kid then I grew up.
The Eagles don't need oline help. Last year they had a lot of injuries and Johnson's suspension. Their Oline problems are way overblown.
Not according to their own fans and the Philly press. I really don't care (at all) but I hear about it all the time. I have a lot of friends who are Eagles fans.

They have a 35 year old Left Tackle which is definitely a problem.
Lane Johnson was signed long term to play left tackle. The only problem is him being one more screw up from a year-long suspension. Talent-wise, he's a very capable replacement for Peters.
I agree. There are tons of Penn State fans in Scranton. The guy was the first person in is family to stand erect!

Terrible article. No mention of Wiz or Big V. Peters at 35 is still better than half the LT's in the league.
