Would only save $1 million prior to June 1st and $7 million of his $8 million would be dead money. After June 1st it becomes $2 million and $6 million.Do they need to trade Daniels, or just release him to save the money? I can't imagine anyone taking his contract. How does this work?
would that be the same if he is traded??Would only save $1 million prior to June 1st and $7 million of his $8 million would be dead money. After June 1st it becomes $2 million and $6 million.

There will be interest in Chase Daniel. Actually that is why the Eagles signed him in the first place. He is primarily a "back up" but he can play.
No, if he is traded it is $2 mil dead money this year with $6 mil in savings. $1 mil dead money next year regardless of trade or release.would that be the same if he is traded??
I thought they had him to compete with/ at worse back up Bradford, at the time Wentz was a pipe dream, and it appeared those two would be the QB's and see how it would go from there. It is interesting how people can differ in their opinions... I think Chase Daniels is terrible and never understood the contract. I recognized that they needed a backup at the time and the Eagles were, apparently, prepared use Daniels until Wentz was "ready", but I think he was a bad, expensive choice for that role.
then why do I think he is already traded? No, if he is traded it is $2 mil dead money this year with $6 mil in savings. $1 mil dead money next year regardless of trade or release.
Clearly, they never watched Wentz play.I 'love' this comment obviously from a Cowgirl fan...
Seems to me they are already admitting what everyone knows , that Wentz is a bust. The Cowboys were brilliant enough to wait and get Prescott cheap and the Eagles mortgaged their future for a Division II nothing.
I never understood the huge contract he got. Signing him was one thing -- he is by all accounts a good teammate, knew the system being installed, etc., but it sure seemed like they overpaid.I thought they had him to compete with/ at worse back up Bradford, at the time Wentz was a pipe dream, and it appeared those two would be the QB's and see how it would go from there.
then why do I think he is already traded?
