ESPN3

It worked fine on my laptop, but it wouldn’t play on my iPhone. I used YouTubeTV and it wouldn’t show on the phone. I could hear it but not see it. It was hit or miss on if it would cast. This has been an on-going problem with the ESPN app for me.

I just streamed 4 mats on each PC and either streamed the one PC to the TV if I wanted to watch a particular mat. I listened to Byers for most of the entire session. Also had track up to keep tabs on all 8 matches and sneak a peak on the on-deck match-ups

Can I pay you $$ to come to Iowa and set up my system just like yours.

So .... what happened to all the terrible and incompetent ESPN early round announcers from yesteryears.

I almost miss them ... but, thankfully, almost doesn't count. There was one older guy in particular who was really clueless. He mispronounced everyone's name, and spoke about takedowns that were reversals, and vice versa. I think he may have wrestled alligators once in Florida and that is perhaps why ESPN hired him.

Maybe it’s revisionist history in my mind, but I thought I remembered a few of them being quite astute, just not overly suited for PBP. Hell, Shane Sparks was definitely one of those guys. I do love the matcast coverage this year, though. Cant say that enough.

Anyone having trouble getting ESPN3 streaming?
Dad and I decided to watch 2nd round from the hotel last night. I tried getting on ESPN3 on my computer and couldn't. Sitting right beside me, he fired up his machine, and got right on.

Same wifi, same browser, both capable computers, one with the spinning wheel of death, one logged right in.

I watched matcast most of the time but went to the full screen when our guys were wrestling. If 2 guys were wrestling at the same time I just stayed on matcast view. The only issue I had was when I wanted to watch Kerkvliet full screen I got an error message.

I don't know if anyone else had this issue but when I would leave matcast to go to an individual match I would sometimes have to scroll through a load of images just to find the mat I wanted. You would thing espn could keep all the wrestling images together.

Yep me too
fyi, ESPN no longer supports mirror casting or HDMI hookups. If you do not have a television with the ESPN app installed, you can no longer watch anything from the ESPN app (espn+) on your TV.

I discovered this a couple months ago when I got a message that was similar to yours, then confirmed it with some ESPN-based info.

Maybe you are having the same problem?

try updating your browser. sometimes that works wonders.

I had one laptop with eight tabs open, one for each mat. If two PSU wrestlers were up I would cast one to the tv and have the other on the laptop screen. It is working ok, but sometimes it doesn’t want to let me change which one casts very well.🤷‍♀️

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. And, my 80 year old Dad would actually be better about that than me. 😳
There’s some finesse to it. ESPN “tracks” concurrent streams per account, but some people have better luck with getting away with it. I seem to max out at three tabs.

Hmmmm. I use a 32” TV as the monitor for my desktop computer with it being hooked up with only an HDMI cable and have no issues with ESPN3. I am not using the app though, but rather just viewing through my web browser, so that must be why it is working for me.

Face it pawrestlerintn most guys get a 7 year old to fix the technical stuff, you go to the 80 year old!

Before I could get reception I'd bet your son, in a sub, a mile under the Pacific could get a feed before I would.

Ps enjoy these days with dad. I wish I were in your shoes.

That could be it, I was trying to HDMI from Ipad to non smart tv, at work.

Are you 100% certain?

I bet he uses a harness too.

I am quite sure. You can google ESPN and HDMI and look at the results. Here's one:
When I initially had the issue a couple months ago, I could watch the action on my iPhone but whenever I connected HDMI from iPhone to non-smart TV using TiVo, I got that error message. Then I researched online and discovered that ESPN seems to be pushing people to use smart TV with ESPN app. Maybe it's my TiVo that is the hindrance, because I see SKI was able to cast. In other words, YMMV.
