Dunno how long “long enough” is. Joined in like 2005 or something and visited before that. But it’s funny you mention the test board, pics, etc. since I remember TJ being very helpful when I was learning to link stuff. Its the only thing I specifically remember him for.TJ was probably the reason the Test Board was started (if you’ve been here long enough, you know it’s called ‘Test Board’ because that is where we used to go to ‘test’ posting pics
and signatures and stuff). He was subtle, but posted a lot about weather and other topics of conservative interest in a way that while not heavy handed, was obviously intended to make some kind of point. Nearly all his ‘sources’ when prompted to provide them were from conservative media/think tanks. And this was years before our current political climate.
Ignore helps keep me out of the rabbit hole so to speak. Works for the most part
TJ has always been a very helpful poster when it comes to that sort of thing - or any other area, really, that doesn’t involve climate change. Hope he’s alright; I think I can recall him mentioning every now and then that he was a bit of an older gentleman.

I agree, but I will take it a step further. In my opinion, there should be no personal attacks of any kind on any poster for any reason. Attack the the substance of their post, not the person posting it. The lack of civility on this board is unfortunate.
Absolutely true. It's endemic in American life and it's getting worse. Daily examples are everywhere...on the highway, in the grocery store, at athletic events, in government, even in church. I have railed against it, and try to lead by example, but the boors have taken over society and I see no end in sight.
