Absolutely true. It's endemic in American life and it's getting worse. Daily examples are everywhere...on the highway, in the grocery store, at athletic events, in government, even in church. I have railed against it, and try to lead by example, but the boors have taken over society and I see no end in sight.

I know that. I just think it is a shame that people who should be setting an example in decorum for the rest of us do just the opposite. That goes all the way around for all parties.

I may not agree with either Bernie Sanders or Orrin Hatch on all matters, but at least they are dignified and IMO respectful.

Before anyone slams Hatch, did you know that he was the only member of the senate invited to Ted Kennedy's wedding? They were very close friends. Kennedy credited Hatch with saving his life and helping him get cleaned up. We need more such relationships.

TJ was probably the reason the Test Board was started (if you’ve been here long enough, you know it’s called ‘Test Board’ because that is where we used to go to ‘test’ posting pics
and signatures and stuff). He was subtle, but posted a lot about weather and other topics of conservative interest in a way that while not heavy handed, was obviously intended to make some kind of point. Nearly all his ‘sources’ when prompted to provide them were from conservative media/think tanks. And this was years before our current political climate.

Ignore helps keep me out of the rabbit hole so to speak. Works for the most part .

Ha. Maybe. But I’m pretty centrist. So in today’s political climate I’m used to pretty much everybody disagreeing with me much of the time.

I intend that respectfully. Haven’t ignored anybody RE their politics.

Agree, but it was a very very very rare event for TJ to make a post that wasn't at least partially politically driven -- Even if you didn't realize it. If you weren't very familiar with him and his political posts on The Test Board -- as most here on the McA board -- he was very good at trying to make a political point without it reading like a political post.

He lived and breathed to constantly refine/tweak his political spin for the sake of debating politics on message boards. He may have just gotten overwhelmed trying to defend the words and actions of a particular new political leader (I won't name names since this isn't the test board {grin}), and had a break down.

Either that, or his mom finally kicked him out and he no longer has an internet connection.

Obliviax shared what appeared to be a very recent tweet from him yesterday - so, hard to believe someone here claiming he died tragically. As for me ‘making fun of him’ that’s absurd - first, I wouldn’t know unless someone shared it here, and second, I asked because I would check his Friday jukebox threads from time to time. People hoping/claiming otherwise are desperate and bitter.

I'm fine. This will be my last post here. My business was attacked via false (ridiculously false) reviews. We spent a lot of money to determine their origin and to get them removed. For a year old company doing great work, it was something we didn't deserve and didn't plan for. Our leads dropped, and our competitors seized their opportunities for sure.

All good now though. Back on track and still seeing the ocean when I glance up from my computer in the AM. Have done some killer putting greens at LaGorce on Miami Beach and at Weston Hills the past few weeks. Going into Ballen Isles next week.

The fake reviews of our business probably cost us around $100K in sales (one job for sure @$65K) and they originated not from a local competitor, but from a regular poster here who lives in another state, and likes to play politics and race-baiting games.

I'm done playing games with you people. Frankly, only a very few of you are worth it. I'll leave you w/ one last GC song:

You don’t need to answer this response, but somehow I suspect the negative reviews of your business somehow originated from “Tener Hall” in Texas. Definitely sounds like something he’d do given his history of going to extreme measures to harm people with whom he disagrees.
