Ash is a bad HC, but he has been a pretty good DC, so probably nota bad hire by Texas.

Personally speaking, I thought he was a terrible HC and an even worse recruiter. However, I'm happy he was able to land a job as a DC with Texas/Tom Herman. I believe this also benefits Rutgers financial situation since he had a guaranteed multi year contract through 2022 (I think).

Probably a better Xs and Os guy than recruiter. Herman can cover up some of his shortcomings that he has in his recruiting ability. Should be a good hire for Texas, but they need a much better option at OC if they want to compete in the B12.

Kind of off topic, but I didn't realize Kyle Flood coached for Bama. I guess Rutgers did have some proficient coaches.
