No kidding. Might just be a normal procedural move here, but to this armchair attorney layperson they seem bound and determined to avoid being fair.

If I was the DA and felt my case was solid I'd tell the defense, "You want to see the video?? Here it is in its entirety. Good luck defending yourself." The court system today is so clogged with motions to hide things that its purpose is becoming harder to understand. Nowadays it's more about who can obfuscate better instead of who has the facts on their side.
