FC- Hanging banner for losing AFC title game ok????

So the Colts have apparently put up a banner in their stadium saying "AFC Finalist" for last year. If you recall that was the game where the Colts lost the AFC title to the Patriots by 38 points. So- what say ye? Is it ok to put up a banner for losing (not to mention by 38 points)?
A banner for losing by 38 is OK, but not 40, that would be a blowout.;)

Regular season divisional title banners? OK

Conference title banners? OK

Any banner with the words "Finalist" or "Runner Up"? Lame

I don't really see what's wrong with this. The playoffs are a tournament and they have a banner stating what round they went to in that year. It is not much different than a banner for winning the NL. That banner essentially says you lost the World Series. A better analogy is a banner that says a basketball team made it to the Elite 8 or Final 4, which means they lost in that round.

Who cares what people in Indianapolis do?
Why does every action of every person or group have to be up for public debate?
Does it affect you? NO. Then why should you care??

Because it's a slow time with not much going on and a football related topic. If you don't want to discuss it then fine........but the issue was raised on ESPN and I just thought I'd see what posters here think. There's no need to be obnoxious.

Oh, I'm sorry, if ESPN raised the issue then it must be socially significant.

HINT: Don't let ESPN control your thoughts and actions.

They don't control anything. Get a grip. It's a topic of discussion. If you don't want to discuss it because it doesn't affect you- then by all means go post on another thread......but you seem to have a lot to say on something you think shouldn't be discussed.

So how does an Indianapolis Colt's banner affect you??

I have no problem discussing all kinds of different things. I'm sure you'll be shocked to learn that everyone doesn't think like you.

I suggest you just put me on ignore from now on because I have no intention of running all my posts by you first to see if they are allowed or not. ;)

Would have thought that the last 3+ years would have taught you enough about ESPN and their wanting to control the narrative. Guess not.

Seriously, take the tin foil hat off and grow up. ESPN doesn't control anything with me.

I'm done with this nonsense. The Ignore button is your friend- please just ignore my posts. Have a good night..........(even though that doesn't affect me personally). ;)

Ted Leonsis catches all kinds of flack here in DC for the banners that hang in the Verizon Center - there used to be Washington Mystics WNBA Attendance Champions banners hanging from the rafters. Those have since come down.
