Kannapolis I have heard, Indianapolis not so much. One of my coworkers who grew up there said she has hardly ever heard it called that.
I spent some time there when I was in the Army. Also knew several people who worked in the big finance building on what used to be Ft. Benjamin Harrison. I heard it a lot. But maybe it's used more by outsiders than actual residents.

Whatever. I didn't write the rule on what city can use that nickname so I don't really care. But it is a fact that people use that nickname for all three cities, so call it what you want. I don't really care. I'm not out to win this argument.
