It’s time someone said it: transferring to a different school’s wrestling team is a betrayal and moral failure. Your teammates are your brothers... you sweat, bleed, and cry alongside them in victory and defeat. That’s why when a teenage wrestler makes a commitment to a school it should be FINAL. You owe your life to that school, coach, and teammates. What happened to accountability? Just because you’re facing some adversity getting in a line up doesn’t give you the excuse to jump ship. Why not try getting better at wrestling? You don’t see our US Marines transferring to Alaska’s military, so why do we accept wrestlers transferring?

Instead of the liberal NCAA giving cowards a way out, there should be penalties for those who choose to abandon the solemn oath of commitment they made as a 16 year old. Of course if schools required students to pay a larger sum up front they could withhold that payment as penalty for transfer. The problem is many students use loans to attend college, so you can’t withhold money you haven’t been paid. An alternative would be to collect a genetic sample from the athlete which could then be frozen and used to create a child with a willing egg donor who was raised inside the school, guaranteeing a future athlete of similar athletic pedigree. Additionally, the NCAA could just ban transfers but we know that’s not going to happen thanks to the sleepy commie in office.

Not knowing which athletes are competing for which teams, not building team camaraderie, and teaching kids that loyalty is something you p*** on are all problems ruining our sport and they’re all thanks to one thing: transfers. F**k ‘em.

Anyone have any great recommendations on lodging or a sweet 6 person AirBnB in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan? Is early September up there comfortable enough?

I’m gonna guess you’d not be in favor of Suriano returning to PSU 😎

He makes no sense. In another of his threads he wants to combine teams (his example..Iowa/PSU) to create unity. Wouldn’t that in fact cause wrestlers transferring to make it happen?

I’ll be honest, I love these types up accounts…especially during the off-season. Only problem with this one is it’s not very funny. Now cloning little athletes was mildly funny, not enough to have had to endure reading the entire post which I did. If he would improve his game I’d be all for him sticking around..

I also hate all the transfers. I especially feel bad for the kid who has trained for 4 years and is going to get his chance at the starting spot as a redshirt senior and then in comes a high level transfer and he is a practice partner again. Guys like Carter Happel for Iowa come to mind or Jared Glosser. I know it comes with the territory, but I do not like it.

Unfortunately the OP takes it a bit too far and becomes harder to take seriously.

Dept of Punitive Genetic Sample Collections & Storage. Twenty-three new admin positions
What? You read far enough to see “genetic sample”? :)

I stopped after one sentence and a half, looked up to see the OP’s name, said, “Damn, The Fan Swine is at it again,” and scrolled down to read about Iceland, etc. We can’t give the guy the satisfaction of reading his whole post. :)

I'm just bumping my own legitimate request of info, in case anyone knows of anything great in the UP--also taking adventure/dining suggestions, as well as more specific locale--looking for some woods and lake time, but other things to do will keep my family sane.
