Feldman has PS at #7, but, O$U in the playoff!! (Link)

His PSU analysis is spot on. I also agree that tOSU will get in, in spite of two horrible losses. As far as tOSU getting in last year and PSU not making it. In the end, at least one B1G team made the playoff. That is what mattered. There is no way that the powers that be will shut the B1G out of the playoff. Wiscy, MSU and PSU all had their chance against tOSU and just didn't get it done.

The good news is that we will either have the fans of tOSU or the fans of ALA think that they got screwed.....so that makes me feel better.

Alabama case: they have been the dominant college football program for past 10 years....they have shown up against out of conference games and have been almost unbeatable outside of national championship games. They lost one game to their arch rival on the road and they beat FSU with the FSU starting QB by a lot in the latest "Game of the Century". Vegas is stating that Alabama would be a 5-6 point favorite on a neutral field against tOSU (a quantifiable eye test).

tOSU case: they beat PSU, Wisc and Uof M and their little brother MSU, and they won the Big 10 title game which this year seems to mean a lot and they have Barry Alvarez and Gene Smith in the room making the pick which is worth > $10 MM to the conference that gets in.

My hope that this convoluted 4 team popularity contest gets blown up......go to 6 or eight teams.....guarantee conference champs that they get in.....make it quantifiable and less scummy. With the power of an upset Alabama Nation or tOSU Buckholes taking pitchforks to Bristol Connecticut or Texas or Kansas where ever this committee is based.....so that maybe changes can be made. The fact that none of the committee picks will be released is also insane. My guess is that Gene Smith will have Alabama listed behind Troy and Nebraska on his ranking list.

The last idea could be for Fat Tony or Jimmie Lips or some other gambling guru to pick who the favorites would be head to head and we go with their picks. It would be equally as pointless as the committee doing it but would be more entertaining and show this to be the actual facade that this process is, versus the seriousness that this committee will give to their esteemed selections. I say: 1) OK 2) Clemson 3) Georgia 4) Alabama so that we get OK/AL and then Clemson / Georgia.

USC and tOSU can play in a fake Rose Bowl Game at the Cotton Bowl with Keith Jackson and Brent Musberger doing the commentary as an homage to the histories of these storied programs............
