Ferrari and the latest drama

I've been off board for a while. I had not looked at this thread in maybe 2 weeks. Any news on AJ🤨.
A lot of opinion and sarcasm. It's certainly the off season .

Nebraska confirmed. Is he definitely going HWT?

Because 197 McDanel is in the portal. If Ferrari goes HWT and McDanel leaves, then Allred is the only 184-197 on the roster with a winning record. And they don't appear to have a 174 who could realistically bump up.

Nebraska's other 197s are a combined career 1-9. Their only other 184 is a RSFR who went 0-4 vs D1 last year, with every loss by TF or pin.

They have 2 guys at 174 who look like they'll be good in time -- RSFR Araujo and true FR Eise -- but neither seems like more than a low-level NQ this year at 174, let alone at 184.
McDanel is in the portal? When did that happen?

Notice the way Ferrari phrased his response to the question about next season's weight class: "That's between me and the coaching staff...", with "me" preceding "coaching staff" in his wording. He could've responded, "That's between the coaching staff and I ..." but, in a Q&A setting requiring an immediate response to a question, he replied with "me" before "coaching staff" despite the fact that it was the UNL staff which had been willing to give him an opportunity at all, notwithstanding an all-too-well-documented history of serious personal misconduct. They had been willing to go out on a limb for him where almost no one else, certainly no other major college wrestling program, had been willing to go.

Small things can be telling in such situations and, if the public statments are all accurately reported here, a small thing might well be indicative of a continuing mindset which, for Coach Mark Manning and UNL admin's, ultimately underscores the old saw that, "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions".

Time will tell.
Let's use your judgement of a kids language in an on the spot, spontaneous, public statement, to read into it, and interject your opinion...lol

Try that same criteria for all interviews, of every Penn State wrestler. Can we find ways to twist words to validate another opinion?
My guess would be yes.

As a Husker fan, when it was still rumor, I wasn't a fan, but have decided, now that it's reality, to trust that under Manning, and with the team culture I know exists there, it can be a place for the kid to grow as a person.

Another "blow" worse for Iowa than PSU.

Yep

Possibly the best result for PSU fans.

First, he's not at PSU.

Second, he's at a school that will likely move Iowa down another spot at the Big-10s and NCAAs.

Third, the matchup between Nebby and PSU will have added intrigue ... they might even score double digits.

Maybe but unlikely.

It’s true. Heard from my sources that negotiations were going well until Albert found out Cael was only using him to get the real prize. Cael was trying to lure Fredo to PSU. Albert got angry, did a kinda split thing while firing off the double birds. He stomped out, then stalled his new Hellcat twice trying to pull out in 4th gear and then got in a fiery roll-over crash before getting out of the parking lot. Cael was still begging him to come back when Manning came to pick him up.
Go ahead and prove my sources wrong, but there will be consequences. I’ll delete this, put you on ignore, stop protecting Cael, and call you a democrat.

Great work!

You are wrong about this.

Did you get your information from AJ?
Are you implying that AJ might have told Pat that Penn State reached out to him as a heavyweight, and that Pat would run with that? Preposterous, never could happen, Pat and AJ would never do such a thing. I’m shocked you even think that.

In all seriousness, what’s even more funny is that anyone would believe AJ, or AJ‘s dad, or whoever that came from that a Penn State recruiter really was kicking the tires on AJ Ferrari. So unless the information came from one of the C’s, which it did not, then if it smells like crap it’s probably crap

So please tell me, do we wrestle Nebby this season? If so, please tell me it's at home. I've already spent too much time trying to find this out on my own.

It’s called the Happy Valley Sanduskers.

js8793, Corby, some random OKST poster that’s been coming around here lately, and this Mineo character are the enthusiastic mods eagerly awaiting our arrival en masse. The new mods promise to focus EXCLUSIVELY on real wrestling news and will not tolerate even a hint of wayward commentary or unapproved threadery.

js8793 is purportedly rolling out some fabulous new AI tool that allows him to monitor and screen poster comments before they are even posted! Fortunately, he'll be able to kill offensive content while still in the incubator and spare us all from hurt feelings and embarrassment. Apparently he got the AI platform from Cael, who has been beta testing it on his wrestlers’ various social media accounts to work out the kinks for js.

It's gonna be a FUN year over there!
Yeah, Mr. Internet boy who believes everything on social media is 100% accurate. Jesus, of all folks, Penn Staters should know, do not trust the damn media. They lied for years and made millions off of Penn State. Meanwhile, Michigan, who cheated for years, may or may not get rhe hammer.

I remind folks, the Iowa posters are the ones who degraded our wrestlers and Cael. From payments to roids. Meanwhile, their team is in Cali with the same guru Penn State wrestlers have used. Somehow, it's okay today. Thank God, Iowa never over recruits against their own team members. Ffs. The hypocrisy is off of the charts.

My comment on AJ. I'm glad he found a home. He absolutely got screwed by UNC, for sure. Don't know if it was that gal's influence, or what. That said, if he has really changed, this may help him moving forward. I've never rooted for the downfall of anyone. Also said, if the reports on intimidation are true. He, most definitely, needs to man up and own that egregious nonsense. Until that happens, hard pass.

I hear what you're saying, but Ferrari failed upward when UNC let him go train with Dlagnev. He's in a better training situation than Chapel Hill would've been.

There was a call made to the coaching staff inquiring about the possibility of any interest. The interest was zero, but expressed politely. Generally i don't have any problems with Pay Mineo. He seems to be a huge wrestling fan who has some insight and access to things going on, sometimes he gets it wrong, but oh well. So what.
Pat insinuating Penn State chased AJ to wrestle HWT is pure unadulterated bullshyt. Or a bald faced lie. Whichever, both descriptions are correct.

I heard it was all an honest misunderstanding.

AJ: What are my chances?
Casey: Not good.
AJ: You mean, not good like one out of a hundred?
Casey: I'd say more like one out of a million.
AJ: …
…So you're telling me there's a chance. YEAH!
