KOTELNICKI FILM STUDY

See link above. Polarizing topic so Instead of just glazing Kotelnicki’s fun, creative “shuffling of the deck chairs” plays from last season, we tried to explain the why behind doing these things and the good and bad, give and take of forcing defending players and your own players execute against/within unorthodox formations.

These are great. I really spend way too much time on football and have never once heard of a "smart split". Thanks.

I really love AK and feel like his second year with most of our skill players back will be very beneficial. Moreover, I think kids want to play this kind of football and thing it will lead to better portal and recruiting success.

If I had to summarize what AK does, is that he simplifies the "in play" decisions by making the pre-snap offense complex. The genius here is that the kids have time to learn the pre-play complexities in the off season and between games. But the in-play decision making is simplified. Kids don't have to think; they perform. It also makes the D react to the O. The O just does what they do. In addition, the coaches can see how a team reacts to a unique formation or motion and set up a secondary play to take advantage of the weaknesses the D created in how they reacted. Half time adjustments become fun.

I think the PSU offense may be the best offense on college football next year if we can get a little lucky at WR.
