Final 4 action

It seems like they want to go home because it appears they have no interest in rebounding the ball. Plus they continue to throw idiotic passes

Great ending--I don't understand the FAU decision not to keep the ball in the hands of Marin's hand

So CBS just pissed me off. U called a timeout …. They ran a series of commercials. Came back, played ten seconds, one shot…..and then it was the official four minute break …… for more commercials. Bogus man. Just bogus.
That’s not CBS…that’s the ncaa rule

Go 'Tecs!! SDSU all the way, baby! They got a helluva player (Matt Bradley) from Cal via the transfer portal.

It is interesting to see UConn back into the Championship game. They have an odd history- never relevant until the ‘90s, had a great run winning 4 tournaments between late ‘90s and 2014, then several mediocre years, changed conferences a few times, and now back on top again.

I have see games where the announcers said….’We will take our scheduled break now’. They have some flexibility and they could have taken their under four minute break then. It was only about ten seconds.
$$$$$$$$$$$$
By doing that they'd lose millions. Who is doing that?

Like I said in previous post…….I have seen it done many times before.
There's no way that was done. Timeouts are required at certain points anyway so they just kept the viewers there while the teams huddled at the bench? What purpose does that serve? They literally can't skip the required timeouts so are you sure or was this a thing in the 80s?

They do it in both football and basketball in regular season games. But not during a huge Final Four game because that is big money time.

Next time they do it in a game you let me know. It's illogical and poor business. If CBS would have done that yesterday everyone involved in that decision wouldn't have a job today.

There is no flexibility at all to it with NCAA basketball...there are a strict set of parameters that are followed every time there is a stoppage to determine if there should be a media timeout at that point. The announcers may say "we will take our break now", but it's only because they are following the rules as to when the break will occur.

For example, the NCAA relaxed the 1st u16 timeout of the 2nd half, where it can be taken when a team calls an early timeout before the 16:00 mark. They also now allow the media timeout to be used at a time when a team calls a timeout within 30 seconds of when a media timeout would have been coming up.

But he's seen it happen
