It took the result for the Crimson Tide Boot licker in him to show it's ugly face. I KNEW he would start crying if this happened. He didn't say Jack shit about it for two weeks, and you can bet your ass he wouldn't have said a thing had SMU win. He's pissed off that Penn State won.He can eat sheet and you know the rest.
We probably beat any of his SEC alternatives on a day like today.
I didn't see a single asshole dissing Indiana after they LAID DOWN for Notre Dame last night. At least SMU played to win, but because it's Penn State, suddenly Finebaum has a problem. We’d have blown out Alabama too
Set that aside. The rule and structure is set, and the product of a lot of negotiations. Live within the rules and don’t whine. We probably beat any of his SEC alternatives on a day like today.
Tons of people were bashing IndianaI didn't see a single asshole dissing Indiana after they LAID DOWN for Notre Dame last night. At least SMU played to win, but because it's Penn State, suddenly Finebaum has a problem.
Not as right as he thinks. The reality is year in and year out, there are about six teams in the conversation. From there, window dressing. He's right though
I agree with that but SMU shouldn't have been in--the ACC getting two teams was a jokeNot as right as he thinks. The reality is year in and year out, there are about six teams in the conversation. From there, window dressing.
Yes, because the previous playoffs never had any blow outs. What a tool.
High Tide, High Tide!!How can we forget this high stakes sec shootout.

Almost everyone in the national media picked us to win...easily"The weather will not be a factor"
Rhett Lashley, and just about everyone in the national media
Not this easily and there was a handful that did not have psu covering the spread.Almost everyone in the national media picked us to win...easily
Like Oregon over FSU 59-20.I seem to recall blowouts in the semis AND the finals about 4 or 5 times
What this dumb ass doesn't understand is that going to 12 teams ensures that no one with a chance is left out. It's solves for the mountain West champ and the 11-1 ACC runner-up.
14 defensive pts early is hard to predict. Not this easily and there was a handful that did not have psu covering the spread.
He is a certifiable SEC fellator. His solution to every problem is fire the coach, too. What a tool.
He needs to fire people up to keep them listening and cashing those checks. He was basically employed by the SEC for years. Most of his listeners are psycho SEC homers. His opinion is biased of course. He is a certifiable SEC fellator. His solution to every problem is fire the coach, too. What a tool.
If Clemson beats Texas today ( highly unlikely) curious what the “ experts” will say in the press ? SMU should have beaten Clemson..I agree with that but SMU shouldn't have been in--the ACC getting two teams was a joke
SMU spotted them a lead...you can’t do that and it cost them again today. Rooting for Clemson but it feels pointlessIf Clemson beats Texas today ( highly unlikely) curious what the “ experts” will say in the press ? SMU should have beaten Clemson..
That doesn't count SMU misses near the goal line. They could have easily scored the first TD if not for the hit/drop at the goal line. They were close again when Deluca got a tipped INT.14 defensive pts early is hard to predict.
if I am an SMU fan I am thanking my lucky stars that Allar had an off dayThat doesn't count SMU misses near the goal line. They could have easily scored the first TD if not for the hit/drop at the goal line. They were close again when Deluca got a tipped INT.
IIRC SMU also had a couple of procedure penalties when inside the 5. The PSU defense certainly had a part in it but if you're a SMU fan you have to feel like your team screwed the pooch.
Has Finebaum ever played the game at a high level? Coached? Had to make the actual selections for the CFP? Each year, only 6-8 teams have a shot at winning the NC. 12 teams are too many and so there will be mismatches, especially in the opening round. Finebaum is paid to create controversy and hence boost ratings and viewers, not much more.He can eat sheet and you know the rest.
See Jennings...today wasn't a day any QB was going to be successfulif I am an SMU fan I am thanking my lucky stars that Allar had an off day
High Tide, High Tide!!
putting the conference champions aside, teams seeded 5-8 were so close as to be interchangeable, a slight drop between 8 and 9 and a huge drop between 9 and 10+Not as right as he thinks. The reality is year in and year out, there are about six teams in the conversation. From there, window dressing.
Correct--the contenders are Oregon, Georgia, Texas, Penn State, Ohio State and probably Notre Dame and Tennessee. The best case scenario for everyone else is they pull off one upset.putting the conference champions aside, teams seeded 5-8 were so close as to be interchangeable, a slight drop between 8 and 9 and a huge drop between 9 and 10+
I do agree with this...if you leave it up to the committee that's on you. Ole Miss and Bama could have made it clear they should have been in. USCe probably got the raw deal but they could have beat LSUI’m growing very weary of the bitching about the committee selections. If teams play themselves into the top 5-7 by the end of the season, they will make the tournament. If ranked below that, they only have themselves to blame..
