It appears to come out this week based off of previous years but I could not find any confirmation of that for 2020. Feel free to correct my timelines if you know something different.

Thursday, January 23: First coaches ranking released?
Thursday, February 13: Second coaches ranking, first RPI?
Thursday, February 27: Conference allocations announced (coaches rank, RPI same day)
Saturday, Mar. 7 - Sunday, Mar. 8: Conference Tournaments
Wednesday, March 11: at-large bids afternoon, bracket announced at 6 p.m.
Thursday, March 19: NCAA Tournament starts

It pains my to look that far ahead knowing how much of the season we have to go but at the same time I am always intrigued by the numbers.

Yes this Thursday 1st coaches poll.Dates all look good to me

How many matches does a guy have to have wrestled to qualify to be ranked on this? I see Shak not ranked, must be more than 3 matches!

Lee and RBY are set up well. Nevills, Shak, and Verk will have plenty of opportunities. Berge situation is what it is. The only thing I don't like is Aaron's path to a 2/3 seed. Doesn't look like he has much of one. Not that Brooks is concerned at all with it, but this is definitely a case where 6 or 7 is preferable to 4 or 5. I guess should all be Nino Bonaccorsi fans down the stretch.

Way too much wrestling left to be worried about seeds.

Yeah, well, he should be at 2 in RPI. Who does those? Philippi at 2? Come on.
A computer program does them. It's a mathmatical formula.
In its current formulation, the index comprises a wrestler's winning percentage (25%), its opponents' winning percentage (50%), and the winning percentage of those opponents' opponents (25%). The opponents' winning percentage and the winning percentage of those opponents' opponents both comprise the strength of schedule (SOS). Thus, the SOS accounts for 75% of the RPI calculation and is 2/3 its opponents' winning percentage and 1/3 its opponents' opponents' winning percentages.

EDIT: Didn't see your message before with the <Snicker>. I now realize you knew that and was making a joke because every year people complain about RPI. I fell into the trap.

I'm guessing you missed the <snicker> in my first message. Every year, like clockwork, someone complains about one of our guy's RPI. I was just trying to get someone fired up.

Now I'm just trying to decide if I should just walk off the mat, give a little flex or give you the throat slash sign. :D

Aaron Brooks ranked behind Abe Assad?!?!?

Oh, I see. These rankings are through Jan 19. Brooks hadn't beaten Assad yet.
