I have long thought Vito's potential far outshines Glory... but he keeps proving me wrong. I am still waiting for that jump in levels. Is Vito a tougher matchup than Glory? That doesn't seem obvious to me.

I don't give a sucked down Fix much of a chance, either, but he would be better than any of the other current 125s. Anyone beating Lee this year would be a Gable-level upset in the annals of college wrestling.I hope Fix does drop to give Spencer a little more competition in a weight class that is pretty weak this year. Even though I'll be rooting for anyone going up against Spencer, no one is beating him at Nationals. I can only hope for fluke or someone coming in and having the tournament of a lifetime. 🤞
Also note*, I'm playing the Mega Millions lottery believing I've got a real shot at winning it!
We all know that Daton always plays by the rules.I think the chances of Daton dropping to 125 are someone between zero and none. But for the sake of the hypothetical, if he got to the finals opposite Spencer he could blow up a good bit before they ever see the mat in the evening.

Well Daton is at Weight Loss U (and lately Poor Decision U).I think the chances of Daton dropping to 125 are someone between zero and none. But for the sake of the hypothetical, if he got to the finals opposite Spencer he could blow up a good bit before they ever see the mat in the evening.
No love for Big Cat?If Spencer does lose and RBY and Carter win Titles again, it almost guarantees RBY or Carter win the Hodge.
Hunter Catka has no chance at the Hodge. No love for Big Cat?
I didn't include him because that would be his first title and it would be the third for RBY and Carter. No love for Big Cat?
I would bet my last dollar if Fix drops to 125 Smith did not have a say in the decision other than a peripheral shoulder shrug.God knows John Smith would NEVER have a guy make a hard cut!!
Based on what we have seen so far this season ….Fix has a better chance for a Natty at 125 than 133. Think about HIS mindset. Twice now RBY has foiled his best attempts at 133. Odds of beating RBY in Okla City are 1:3 or 1:4. What has the great Spenser has given us over the last month. He’s not in good shape and given the status of his “room” he may never reach an optimal condition level in 23’. Fix odds of beating Spencer on Saturday night ….. eh … 1:2 or maybe closer to even …. hey baby …. Skip the burgers and go 125.He's got a better shot against Lee than RBY.
Still think he's a three time runner up.
I cannot name a contender since wrestling began in 2009 that dropped a weight class mid-year for a title run so Fix dropping to 125 would be out of the ordinary by that standard
He may have, he was a dark horse contender at best. His situation was different in that he joined the team in January with 157 as the the plan and wrestled 165 for a hot minute while he got his weight under control. So, when Berge dropped to 57 last year, he didn't have a title run in mind?
Yeah I tend to agree. The first thing I thought was that he has his eyes set on 57kg for 2024 and this gives him a feel for Spencer, it gives him time to start descending now since the trials are after NCAAs and I can imagine it’s not an easy cut for him. And many will say he will just wrestle 61kg this year and then descend which probably makes as much sense. But if his ultimate goal has switched to 2024 he may see this as the start to that road.A guy like Fix isn't worried about his path to the finals. Guys like him think they will win every match. If he goes 125 it is because of FS and wanting to get to 57kg.
I imagine the possibility of coming into the 2024 trials as a returning world medalist, which would presumably allow him to go right to Final X, has to be factored in as well.Yeah I tend to agree. A medal @ 61 would get him into semi’s,right?I imagine the possibility of coming into the 2024 trials as a returning world medalist, which would presumably allow him to go right to Final X, has to be factored in as well.
Correct.A medal @ 61 would get him into semi’s,right?
Rumor has it that was the very first forum that BanBasketball got kicked out of, then the dominoes started.Oh crap, I accidentally went into a PSU basketball forum…..what a waist of time, not one wrestling thread or conversation. Only shit about that other winter sport.
