We have had a lot more kids (my high school team) get the flu this year than got Covid last year or this year and they have been sicker with the flu. Maybe we need to cancel school again.

The flu is hitting hard on campus. Lasting 3 ish days generally but for a wrestler it would take longer to get wrestling energy back.

We can thank Michigan for bringing it to campus. CDC was investigating an outbreak in Ann Arbor. Football team dealt with it. Know it's all over campus

Even in a good year, the flu vaccine is only about 50% effective. They guess on what strains of flu might be in circulation, if they guess wrong, which is not uncommon, it doesn't help much. They are calling this illness the flu, maybe is it something else.

Good news is that they are young healthy athletes, they will be healthy inside a week. Much better to get sick in early December than March.

Yep. I don't miss those years. The dad gets everything. It's like the mom has much better immunity.
