a question that included Zain and Nolf, but that's about it for PSU mentions.

I thought he had tweeted that his next Mailbag would be addressing the corruption issue raised in a recent Flo article. If so, then that didn't make it into the Mailbag.

You can read it at THIS LINK.

Thanks for the reminder. Foley just got his own reminder, in his mailbag. Along with a better definition of "political courage."

Very effective comment that you posted on Intermat's site, El-Jefe.

I guess Foley's only out would be that his response to Vais/CP's article was not specifically promised for the Mailbag, just for the coming week, though even if I give him that benefit of doubt, he missed the coming week deadline/promise.

If Foley doesn't address the corruption issue as he publicly sad he would, then he should lose any credibility he has left.

In all fairness, Foley did just defend himself cogently on another forum:

T.R. Foley:
"We're sitting in here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise mailbagger, and we in here talking about UWW integrity. I mean, listen, we're talking about integrity, not a singlet, not a singlet, not a singlet, we talking about integrity. Not a singlet. Not, not … Not the singlet that I go out there and die for and single every singlet like it's my last. Not the singlet, but we're talking about integrity, man. I mean, how silly is that? … And we talking about integrity. I know I supposed to be integral. I know I'm supposed to lead by example... I know that... And I'm not.. I'm not shoving it aside, you know, like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I do. I honestly do... But we're talking about integrity man. What are we talking about? Integrity? We're talking about integrity, man. [laughter from the media crowd] We're talking about integrity. We're talking about integrity. We ain't talking about the singlet. [more laughter] We're talking about integrity, man. When you come to the arena, and you see me single, you see me single don't you? You've seen me give everything I've got, right? But we're talking about integrity right now. We talking about integ... [Interrupted]."

well done. Im not searching the links, but Im pretty sure there is a post somewhere that said a singlet discussion would come before acknowledgment of the scandle.

Have the Vice President of the Organization that employs you be a woman-beating, murderous thug - meh

Witness the shameless and almost repercussion-less cheating of athletes at the crown jewel event of your sport - I'm peeved and quite put out

Your reaction to Thomas Gilman's face-mushing:

Must admit, Foley hit a nerve with his "political courage" line.

I've read quite a few first-hand works of the survivors of Communism. Have read all 3 volumes of Alexander Solzhenitsyn's The Gulag Archipelago, plus most of the late Czech president Vaclav Havel's writings. Havel philosophically, in great detail eviscerated Czechoslovakia's "softer" Communism as no less evil than the brutal Soviet version -- it was designed to suck the soul out of its citizens so slowly that they didn't notice. Most of Havel's "books" are compilations of letters he wrote to his wife while incarcerated as a political prisoner, written in a way to get past prison censors and yet undercut the state once on the outside.

In the next month I plan to read First They Killed My Father (since I'll be in Cambodia around Thanksgiving) -- that is, if I can stomach it -- that one might be too much.

These are truly courageous, great men and women. Somebody who took on wrestling singlets? Yawn.

Foley is a poser -- maybe he prefers the spelling poseur -- with a hyperinflated sense of self-importance.

Do I dare speculate that we've found something Jefe despises more than Ohio State University? Ouch! ;)

Intermat scrubbed this post by Allen Iverson posing as "Foley." Right down the memory hole, except luckily Dogwelder captured it here!
