As called by Fran and George. Man, I have been lucky to have been at a lot of historic Penn State games. (humble brag)

 

[PSU Soupy]

I would have been at that game but a friend was getting married in Philly. I was the first car driving to the reception and as the 4th quarter was getting started I drove into a dive bar near Merion Country Club and the next 20 cars behind me followed me and we watched the 4th quarter with the wedding party. The bride was mad at me for 10 years as her reception was delayed so that we could watch the end of the game.......

 

[The Song Remains the Same]

I was at this game with my best friend (PSU) from Kenilworth, IL. and 2 of his co-workers, both Illinois grads. The first quarter was a travesty, with a Kijana fumble and 2 Collins interceptions iirc. I'll never forget how dark and gloomy it was in person on that final drive, as shown on the video. We had 40 yard line seats in the Illinois section, but were underneath the upper deck roof, and could not see the apex of the ball on long passes, punts, and kicks. I truly told my buddy as we huddled at our own 4 yard line, that we were about to witness what would forever be known as THE DRIVE.
