I noticed in Lee's match against Turk, the ref didn't stop the action and give a warning until Lee retaliated ... and the warning went to both wrestlers.

Seems that wrestlers are using this technique more and more to slow down matches against us. If refs are not going to call them for stalling/penalty, what can Cael and troops do to counter this technique?

Seems especially blatant against Zain.

Zain was warned in his match against Sorenson I believe. They let the pat to the top of head go but in he face is where it gets faulty.

To be honest, it's beyond me how the refs always allow Gilburg to begin EVERY match with a couple of big bear paws to the side of the head of his opponents, all as a means of his intimidating his opponent.

Doesn't Zane do it himself alot? Seems to me that lots of wrestlers from all teams do it... when winning and losing, favorites and underdogs. Not just guys who might be motivated to stall.

You are allowed to go to the head (except with a hard slap or punch) but not to the face. I agree that some refs let it go to long before issuing a warning which usually causes the situation to escalate. It can be a fine line between tapping the head and a tap that hits the face/eye area but many wrestlers go to the face so consistently it becomes obvious it is on purpose. Certainly many have done this to Zain to try and slow him down. I almost called it a technique but that to me dignified the move which is not a technique, it is an illegal practice that the refs need to reign in. If they don't then many wrestlers will continue to go to the face.

I would like to see them make it illegal to put a h and in the face or head without touching another part of the body with the other hand. That palm to the face and that heavy hands to the back of the neck/head does not seem like wrestling.
Zain does it a ton and so do others.
Also, the ref penalized Turk for unnecessary roughness, he did not give lee a warning, unless it was verbal.

Amine tried to slow Zain down with the roundhouses he was throwing. It worked. It seems like others have followed suit. In fairness, Zain is pretty rough as well so in most cases it is hard to complain when he gets some in return. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this enforced more next year. It wouldn’t be a bad thing IMO.
