I'm definitely not advocating for Grunk to play tonight unless the game is well in hand. That said, I do believe there's value in letting a QB's first few plays in a real game, on national TV, be meaningless plays. That way, the first time you need him to really do something, he will have already cleared that psychological hurdle.
