All of this talk about Harbaugh got me to thinking about the recent history of Michigan's football program. As we all know too well, the Rose Bowl is the be-all and end-all for the BIG. Well, as it turns out, Michigan last won the Rose Bowl on January 1, 1998, and they last PLAYED in the Rose Bowl on January 1, 2007. Unbelievable!

That is a long, long time ago. Michigan is desperate, and they don't mind embarrassing themselves by using desperate recruiting measures.

In addition, they have only had one undefeated/untied season since 1949...also in 1997. They went 10-0-1 in 1973 and 9-0-3 in 1992....so they really can't even claim their undefeated seasons were not rewarded with titles....like say PSU with undefeated/untied seasons in 1968, 1969, 1973, and 1994.

Sorry, but as a fan who follows the program closely I can say there isn't a UM fan that is desperate. We all know we have one of the very best coaches at the helm who is recruiting lights out. I couldn't be more excited and comfortable with our future. From my perspective, I think many of our rivals know JH is going to accomplish great things at UM and they'll use anything to try and tear us down. Our future is pretty exciting.

Don't really see this as trying to year you down. Harby has been doing a great job recruiting and had a good season - I think he is going overboard with Nordin. A PSU commit. Don't be so sensitive to what is said on another teams message board - good thing you aren't a PSU fan visiting the liar - now those are some twisted folks that really are mentally disturbed when it comes to a team that is also in their state.
